About Seibu-Kodo

  • Unlike typical rental halls, Seibu-Kodo is voluntarily managed by its own users (via the Seibu-Kodo Liaison Committee/西部講堂連絡協議会. The venue is very different from more modern, over-managed venues - the chairs are old and wooden and there is no air-conditioning, but there is freedom to use the hall however we like. We hope that guests enjoy the unique atmosphere and flow of time at Seibu-Kodo during the Festival!
  • Seating will be prepared, but guests are also welcome to bring their own comfortable chairs, cushions, blankets, etc. The floors are dusty, so please bring only what you don't mind getting a little dirty.
  • Guests may bring in their own food and drink. Depending on the day, food will also be sold at the venue.
  • The hall can get cold at night, so please dress warmly and take other measures against the cold for evening and night showings.
  • Because it is an old building, access is not entirely barrier-free; there are some gravel paths between the hall and the public road. If you will need assistance, please contact us as soon as possible.
