This is a documentary produced
before the handover of former British colony, Hong Kong, back to China. Director
Stanley Kwan, who also comes out as a gay
man in this production, studies the history of Chinese-language film through
the prism of gender roles and sexuality. There is also an interview with
openly gay Hong Kong actor, the late Leslie Cheung.
