*Hiroyuki Ohki selection
(two films by Japanese director Hiroyuki Ohki)*
Shown at the 2002 Tokyo Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, this film is based on
real the lives of gay men. Both documentary and drama, it is a surreal work that
manages to capture the squalidness of daily life.
g8-2 (kari-flower mix)
This version of g8-2 was made especially for the film festival, and is a montage
of scenes from the lives of gay men. Shot from the director's unique point of
view, the film is composed of fragments from the lives of real gay couples, and
shows that the line between drama and reality may not be very distinct at times.
